Mette Laugs

Many years, Mette Laugs teaches at the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen, and was many years Solo Bassoon at the Gelders Orkest Arnhem.

Mette Laugs is a performing musician and bassoon teacher at the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen.

Mette Ladugs studied bassoon with Johan Steinmann at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and obtained her exam performing musician in 1994. Even before her graduation she was adopted as a solo fagottiste at ' The Gelders Orchestra '. Music means playing together, communicating and inspiring for Mette. Since her childhood she has been giving lessons with energy and passion.

Since 2008, she has been a major teacher of bassoon and lecturer in chamber music at the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen, where she was appointed as coordinator of the Master of Music training as of September 2013. In this function she hopes to contribute to the training of musicians who are able to keep themselves in the current music climate, where innovation and entrepreneurship are key concepts. She also followed the master's programme "Management and innovation in social institutions" at the Hogeschool van Arnhem and Nijmegen (Diploma 2015). Where she was trained to change manager.
