Dave Danford is a UK-based percussionist, performing throughout the country and internationally. He has performed solo recitals at a number of the UK's music conservatoires and universities, given orchestral concerto performances in many of the UK's leading concert halls, and works as a session musician for film and television productions. Previous collaborations include recording sessions with former BBC Radio 1 DJ Judge Jules, and live performances with Bryn Terfel, Evelyn Glennie and Karl Jenkins.

Since 2017 Dave has been the Percussionist for Bat Out of Hell: The Musical, including the show’s West End run at the Dominion Theatre in London, and for an international arena tour, visiting Australia and New Zealand in 2023.

Dave is also in demand as a composer, arranger and music producer, covering many different genres. He writes accessible contemporary classical music (including Gweddi, performed at the Welsh Proms), and modernised traditional music (including arranging and directing the music for the opening ceremony of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod). His Marimba Concerto was commissioned and recorded by Yasuaki Fukuhara in 2014.

Dave has been an Adams artist since 2006, and plays exclusively on a range of Adams instruments, including an Artist Classic Marimba, an Artist Classic Vibraphone, and Symphonic Gen II Timpani.
