Irene Hulst is breath therapist. In daily life she works with children and adults that have breathing problems.
You have already learned a lot about breathing technique during your flute studies,
But breathing is more than technique, we all breathe naturally, but my motto is also: breathing is living and living is moving,” but it does matter how”.
I would like to invite you to learn how seemingly small changes in movement can have a major influence on the way you move and breathe. So also in your way of making music, playing the flute.
Playing music is also playing with your body, discovering space, breathing space and therefore also room to move.
We will “play”, experience what does and does not have an influence, learn to experience balance and also what influence that can have on playing together.
I use all kinds of materials to learn to experience and increase that freedom of movement, your breathing space.
Advice: wear comfortable shoes and comfortable clothing.
And finally, take your flute with you, experience has shown that you will flute differently at the end of the workshop.
