Adams Musical Instruments - Together in Music

Act4 Adams Custom Tuba Quartet

Meet the Adams Custom Tuba Quartet

The Adams Custom Tuba Quartet consists of four passionate musicians, each bringing their own unique story – and together forming a rich musical palette with our custom instruments.

Frank Vantroyen is the principal tuba player of the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen orchestra. His warm, deep sound can be heard not only in live performances, but also on recordings with José Carreras, Jef Neve, and in popular TV soundtracks such as Katarakt and In Vlaamse Velden. Since 2020, he has exclusively played Adams Custom Series tubas and leads the brass band United Brass and the Room 13 Orchestra in Ghent.

Jan De Maeseneer, born in 1986, began playing cornet at the age of six before switching to tuba. After studying at the Kunsthumaniora and the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, he was appointed principal tuba of the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Air Force in 2012. He is also a talented composer and conductor of several wind ensembles.

Frederik Leroy is the principal solo euphonium of the Kortrijk Brass Band, a sought-after soloist, and a teacher at various music academies. Holding master’s degrees in euphonium and piano (with distinction) as well as a teaching qualification, he has won prizes at international competitions. In 2019, he gave the Belgian premiere of Thomas Doss’ Pulse at deSingel in Antwerp.

Olivier Haas plays euphonium in the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides, teaches at the Royal Conservatory of Liège, and studied conducting, euphonium, trombone, and philosophy. He is active in giving masterclasses, judging competitions, and contributing to the development of Adams Custom Series euphoniums and trombones.

Together, they stand for top quality, inspired performance, and the full sound of Adams instruments. Their diverse experience – from stage to classroom and studio – makes them the ideal ambassadors for the Adams brand.
