TrioColores
Energetic, versatile and innovative. That is how TrioColores describes itself. The ensemble consists of Matthias Kessler (*1997), Luca Staffelbach (*1996) and Fabian Ziegler (*1995). The three young musicians are united by a long-standing passion for percussion and an endless joy of making music together. These qualities come together in the virtuosic performances of TrioColores.
Kessler, Staffelbach and Ziegler perform a broad repertoire of percussion literature. Through classical and contemporary works, they showcase the versatility of percussion instruments in uniquely conceived concert programmes.
TrioColores' Adams Gear
In addition to the traditional percussion repertoire, the trio has expanded its programme with arrangements of classical works. What began as a personal passion has become one of the ensemble's defining specialities. Through challenging arrangements and refined musical interpretations, TrioColores has successfully established percussion within the classical concert repertoire. This concept has taken the ensemble to numerous prestigious classical music festivals and led to its debut in the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie in 2021, where it performed Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin.
TrioColores is a highly active ensemble, as reflected not only in its busy concert schedule but also in the many awards it has received at leading competitions. In 2019, the trio won the prestigious Swiss chamber music competition Migros Kulturprozent, including the Audience Prize. In 2022, it received the Lerman Gold Prize and the Audience Choice Award at the Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition in Easton, Maryland, USA. The ensemble is also a prize winner of the International Anton Rubinstein Competition and the Berliner International Music Competition.
In 2022, the ensemble had their first South Korean tour with six concerts, all of which were enthusiastically reviewed by the press. Medially, the TrioColores earns a unique reputation by putting a focus on a good social media presence and, among other things, filling video platforms like YouTube with high-quality content and thus inspiring their community.
