TrioColores
Energetic, versatile, innovative. That‘s how the TrioColores presents TrioColores itself, consisting of Matthias Kessler (*1997), Luca Staffelbach (*1996), and Fabian Ziegler (*1995). The young musicians are united by a long-standing passion for percussion and an endless joy of making music. They combine these qualities in the virtuosic playing TrioColores.
Kessler, Staffelbach, and Ziegler maintain a wide range of percussive literature. With classical and contemporary works, they convey to the audience the versatility of percussion instruments in uniquely designed concerts as TrioColores.
In addition to the usual percussion literature, the trio expands their repertoire with arrangements of classical music. This has developed into a speciality of the trio from a matter of the heart. With challenging arrangements and tasteful musical interpretations, the ensemble has established percussion skillfully in classical concert programming. This concept has already led them to many prestigious classical music festivals and their debut in the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic in 2021, where they performed Ravel‘s „Le Tombeau de Couperin.“
The TrioColores is a very active ensemble, as evidenced not only by their busy concert schedule but also by the numerous awards at major competitions. For example, in 2019, they won the prestigious Swiss Chamber Music Competition „Migros Kulturprozent“ and its audience prize. In 2022, they were awarded the Lerman Gold Prize and the Audience Choice Award at the „Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition“ in Easton MD (USA). The trio is also a prize winner at the „International Anton Rubinstein Competition“ and the „Berliner International Music Competition.“
In 2022, the ensemble had their first South Korean tour with six concerts, all of which were enthusiastically reviewed by the press. Medially, the TrioColores earns a unique reputation by putting a focus on a good social media presence and, among other things, filling video platforms like YouTube with high-quality content and thus inspiring their community.
