Principal Timpanist at the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra - OSESP and head of the Percussion Department at the São Paulo University - USP. Music Director of the São Paulo Youth Orchestra (2008 / 12). Principal Conductor of the São Paulo University Orchestra - OSUSP (2012 / 14).

He has conducted many orchestras in Brazil and abroad: Geneva Conservatory Orchestra, Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra, São Bernardo do Campo Symphony Orchestra, São Paulo State Youth Orchestra, Curitiba Chamber Choir, Curitiba Chamber Orchestra, State of São Paulo Wind Ensemble, Amazon Chamber Orchestra, Paraná Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Aberta (contemporary music ensemble), Campinas Symphony Orchestra and OSESP. He recorded 3 CDs with OSUSP in 2012 and 13.

In 2016 he conducted the Brazilian premiere (after 61 years) of Boulez's seminal work “Le Marteau sans Maître”.

In 2002 he founded the Percorso Ensemble, a contemporary music ensemble performing 20th and 21st century music. In 2007 Percorso released its first CD - Berio + (SESC Label) featuring works by Berio. In 2009, its second CD was released featuring works by young Brazilian composers and in 2012 Ligeti + (SESC Label) was released featuring the first Brazilian recording of Ligeti's "Kammerkonzert". Recently, Percorso joined the São Paulo Dance Company to perform the premiere of "The Seasons" by awarded choreographer Édouard Lock, featuring music by Gavin Bryars.

He has worked with percussionist Eduardo Leandro in the Duo Contexto since 1989, awarded the VI Prêmio Eldorado de Música (1991) and the Dusseldorf Chamber Music Festival (1996). From 1993 until 2000 the Duo was in residence at the CIP (International Percussion Centre) in Geneva. Concerts, masterclasses and tours in Europe, USA and Japan. Also many appearances at the Campos do Jordão International Festival (Brazil), Suita Marimba Festival (Japan) and across South America. In 2009 their first CD was released featuring works by Brazilian composers (SESC Label) and in 2010 their second CD featuring works by Swiss composers and flutist Verena Bosshart (Musiques Suisses-Grammont Portrait Label) was released.

He performs as a soloist with many orchestras in Brazil.

He was percussionist at the “Orchestre de la Suisse Romande” and “Ensemble Contrechamps”, both in Switzerland.

His conducting mentor is Professor and Maestro Kenneth Kiesler.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the São Paulo State University (UNESP), obtained a Master Degree at the "Haute École de Musique de Genève" (Première Prix de Virtuosité) and an "Artist Diploma" at the "Rotterdam Conservatorium".

His principal teachers were John Boudler, William Blank, Yves Brustaux and Robert van Sice.
