Born in France on November 9th in Le Havre on the Normandy coast, Ludovic started learning the trumpet at the age of 8.
After years of studying classical and jazz trumpet, he earned his degree in classical trumpet at the music school of his hometown in 2000.
He moved to Paris in 2003, where he began working with Le Big Band de La Musique de L’Air de Paris (French Air Force Big Band) as lead trumpet. During that time, he also worked with various artists such as Jimmy Cliff, Florent Pagny, Yannick Noah and other French and international pop stars on their albums and tours.
Meanwhile, he was a permanent sideman for the Cuban hip hop band Orishas for six years, touring the world several times.
In 2009, Ludovic received a call from a friend asking him to substitute for a show in Paris. That was the first time he worked with Lenny Kravitz. He auditioned that very day and has been working with him since 2010.
During the Black and White America Tour, he had the honor of performing a solo for Muhammad Ali at his 70th birthday celebration in Las Vegas.
In September 2013, Ludovic decided to move to Los Angeles because he wanted to work with “the best in the music and film industry.”
He has worked and recorded with artists such as Simple Plan, Demi Lovato, Robin Thicke, Macon, …
He has also appeared on television shows such as “The Voice,” “American Music Awards” and “America’s Got Talent.”
Besides his work with Lenny Kravitz, he is part of the house band for Dancing With The Stars on ABC and is currently working on his first EP.
I recently came in contact with Miel Adams who is in charge of the wind factory of Adams in Holland.
I tested this amazing trumpet and flugelhorn and realized they were the best horns I ever played!
Thanks to the Adams team! You guys are amazing!
