Thomas Corman
Born in 1996, Belgian low-brass musician Thomas Corman began his musical journey at the Hubert Keldenich Academy in Welkenraedt. Initially drawn to the euphonium, he later discovered his passion for the bass trombone — an instrument that would become central to both his artistic and pedagogical career.
Thomas' Adams Gear
Thomas holds multiple degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Liège, where he studied euphonium with Olivier Haas and trombone with Alain Pire, Nicolas Villers, and Gérald Evrard. He completed two didactic master’s degrees in both instruments, and later earned an advanced diploma in bass trombone under Vincent Debès at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg. As a performer, Thomas has appeared with several leading orchestras and ensembles, including Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, and the Estro Armonico Chamber Orchestra. He is also a member of the trombone quartet BoneStation 4 and performs in the Delman Duo (bass trombone and harp).
His talent has been recognized multiple times, including the Yamaha Prize at the Rencontres Internationales de Cuivre (IMEP) and a gold medal at the European Competition for Young Soloists.
In addition to his stage work, Thomas is a dedicated teacher. He teaches tuba and trombone at the Academy of Malmedy, lectures on methodology at the Conservatory of Liège, and serves as the musical director of Harmonie Tel Echo Wallerode. His teaching blends a solid technical foundation with an inspiring, student-centered approach that reflects his deep passion for musical development.
