At Adams, we greatly value the opinions of professional musicians when developing our instruments. Their feedback and recommendations are an important part of improving our production where needed, and adapting the sound and playability of our instruments to meet the demands of professionals.
At The Hague Jazz Festival, we had the pleasure of meeting Terell Stafford, trumpeter with the renowned Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. During our conversation, we invited Terell to visit our factory in Ittervoort whenever he happened to be “in the area.” We wanted to show him every detail of our flugelhorn production – after all, seeing and hearing speak louder than words.
It didn’t take long for Terell to take us up on the invitation. Less than three months later, he interrupted his tour in Italy to fly to the Netherlands. He even booked a hotel so he could visit the next day and try out the Adams flugelhorn. Terell was so incredibly impressed with the quality of the flugelhorn – developed over two years – that he decided to put it to the test for the remainder of his tour.
