Oscar ‘Chucky’ Cordero is one of Europe’s most versatile and Latin Grammy-nominated trumpet players, known for his dynamic playing style and broad musical background. Born in Villa de Cura, Venezuela, Oscar began his musical education at a young age at the Escuela de Música Ángel Briceño, under the guidance of his grandfather and mentor, Germán Cordero. At just 14 years old, he became a soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Aragua and quickly made a name for himself in the worlds of Latin and jazz music.

Oscar has performed worldwide with a wide range of artists and ensembles, from Latin and salsa to jazz and popular music. He has collaborated with renowned names such as Oscar D'Leon, Tito Nieves, and Gilberto Santa Rosa, and has been featured in productions like "Les Misérables" and "The Producers." His playing is characterized by deep emotional expression and a powerful technique that reflects his Venezuelan roots.

For the past ten years, Oscar has lived in the Netherlands, where he continues his career as a musician and producer. He remains active in various musical projects, including his work with CaboCubaJazz, and is currently working on new solo material that further expands his unique musical vision.
