Jirapat Praeprasert

Jirapat Praeprasert is a Thai musician and also a euphonium instructor at several universities and high schools including Kasetsart University, Silpakorn University, Mahidol University, Royal Thai Navy School of Music, Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music and Assumption Thonburi School.

He started his career while he was in high school and it has since become his life.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music from Kasetsart University and has played in the Kasetsart University Wind Symphony since 2007.

He then completed his master’s degree in 2013 and began playing in a brass band with the Mahidol Brass Band.

Inspired by brass band music, he eventually became one of the founding members of "The Green Brass Band", which first performed in 2014.

After forming The Green Brass Band, he was invited by The Lion Brass Band to join them at the Singapore Low Brass Festival 2016. He also participated in the competition and won second prize.

He has also performed with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra Band. In addition, he is one of the founding members of several ensembles, including a brass quartet and a tuba ensemble. He continues to perform in wind symphony bands such as Nontri Orchestra Wind, Million Wind Philharmonic and Feroci as principal euphonium.

He also had the great opportunity to perform under the baton of the renowned conductor Douglas Bostock.
Furthermore, he has taken masterclasses with Steven Mead, Bastien Baumet, Gary Curtin and Glenn Van Looy. In 2018 he also performed in a brass duet with Glenn Van Looy.
