Jingwei Chen
Mr. Jingwei Chen is the principal trombonist of the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. From an early age, he studied trombone with Professor Li Dali. In 2004, he was admitted to the High School of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. After graduating in 2013, he continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Saar, where he studied under Prof. Fabrice Millischer. In 2016, he was admitted with distinction to the Musikhochschule Lübeck, completing his master's degree under Michael Renzenberger.

From 2019 to 2021, Mr. Chen was an intern at the Theater Lübeck, where he was invited to rehearse and perform with the Hamburger Symphoniker and the Staatsoper Hamburg. In 2022, he became the principal trombonist of the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since 2023, Mr. Jingwei Chen has been pursuing his Konzertexamen with Professor Ehrhard Wetz at the Musikhochschule Mannheim.
