Freddie Hendrix
Last year during North Sea Jazz, Freddie Hendrix took the time to try out the new Adams flugelhorn.
Freddie Hendrix visited the Adams stand during North Sea Jazz. He was interested in the Adams flugelhorn because many of his colleagues / friends already play an Adams flugelhorn. After the Alicia Keys concert, where he is a permanent band member, he invited us backstage to really put the flugelhorn to the test. Extremely enthusiastic and full of praise, he shared his findings. He immediately took out his agenda to schedule a visit to Adams in Ittervoort. On the next European tour, Freddie traveled to Ittervoort together with the bandleader of Chopshorns to test the flugelhorn again. He ultimately chose the Adams flugelhorn and other band members have since switched to Adams as well. He is so enthusiastic about his new Adams instrument that he now assists us in the further development and refinement of the new Adams trumpet.
Freddie's reaction:
"When I play the Adams flugelhorn, I feel like I can play anything. Every note and register is equivalent and centered. The tone is beautiful and has a true core. And the valve action has the fluidity of an aged trumpet, but sounds like a flugel. Its the best flugelhorn I've played thus far." - Freddie Hendrix
