Blake Birmingham

Blake Birmingham is an American Euphoniumist, Composer, and Educator. Fortunate enough to study with two of his heroes; Blake earned his Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Euphonium Performance from the University of North Texas where he studied under Dr. David Childs, and Dr. Brian Bowman, respectively.

Blake has performed across the USA as a guest artist, and soloist. Including events such as: The Music for All National Concert Band Festival, United States Army Band Tuba Euphonium Workshop, OkMEA, ITEA Regional Conferences, and several University guest recitals. 

Blake has also had a wide variety of success and experience in solo competitions. Most notably, Blake was awarded 1st prize in the 2018 Leonard Falcone International Euphonium Artist Competition. Additionally, Blake's students are constantly praised for their success, and have gone on to attend some of the most prestigious music institutions in America, as well as having success in a variety of solo competitions across the U.S.A.

He currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Low Brass at East Central University in Ada Oklahoma, and is the private euphonium teacher for Coppell ISD in Coppell, Texas. 

Blake currently resides in the Dallas Fort/Worth metroplex, where he is in high demand as a guest soloist and teacher, and performs regularly as a member of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra. 

Blake is the director of the North Texas Low Brass Camp, and is proud to be an Adams Artist, as well as a Brass.Lab MOMO Artist. Blake plays on the Adams E3 euphonium, and MP-M2 MOMO mouthpiece.
