The instrument features a 0.55 goldbrass body and a sterling silver bell adorned with a striking engraving of Adamastor—a symbol of resilience and triumph. Album "On My Way"
The latest CD by euphonium soloist Mauro Martins started from the idea of ??presenting Mauro Martins’ career through notable repertoire of his journey and features three powerful works that have shaped his career. Opening with UFO by Johan de Meij, Mauro reflects on the years he spent listening to and practicing this piece, culminating in a dream performance at the Adams 50th anniversary concert, conducted by Henrie Adams in May 2022. The album continues with Jukka Linkola's Concerto for Euphonium, which Mauro credits for his artistic growth, particularly during his studies under Sérgio Carolino at ESMAE. The CD closes with Blind Spot by Gilles Rocha, a personal favorite Mauro considers a reflection of his own personality. This recording was made with the Portuguese Air Force Band, led by maestro António Rosado.
