Katharina Martini

Katharina Martini is flutist, author and pedagogue around the world. Concert tours regularly take her through Europe and the United States and she performs as soloist and chambermusician in famous festivals and concert halls such as Laeiszhalle, Elbphilharmonie and Berliner Philharmonie. Furthermore, she is a juror at competitions.

Katharina Martini is conducting masterclasses at universities, academies and festivals.

She won several national and international competitions, such as "American Protégé: International Woodwind Competition”, “Grand Prize Virtuoso” and „International Young Musician Competition Città di Barletta“. Her debuts at Carnegie Hall New York and Concertgebouw Amsterdam followed. From the German Festival “Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival” she won the grand award.

As a recording artist she has a discography of multiple CDs, including her debut „Meisterwerke für Flöte” (2018), “Diamonds of Flute” and a CD recording with the NDR Choir “Moonnight”.

Katharina Martini studied her Bachelor and Master of Music with distinction at HfMDK Frankfurt with Thaddeus Watson. 2022 she received the MicroMaster of Cambridge University as well as a certificate of the Performing Arts Medicine Association. She learned from many masters such as Emmanuel Pahud, Sir James Galway, Denis Bouriakov, Peter-Lukas Graf and Philippe Bernold.
