Josine Brackman studied flute with Nine Sligter and Jacques Zoon. She runs a busy flute school in Amsterdam and is specialized in teaching younger children. In this WAYDH she will tell us about her new book about teaching younger children how to play the flute.
Van fluit leren spelen naar muziek kunnen maken is a guide for flute teachers. It contains teaching materials for young children who start learning to play the flute. Because these materials have been developed from a particular didactic and pedagogical vision, the book contains more than just the teaching materials. Part 1 explains my vision on teaching the flute (or: teaching music), part 2 describes how the various technical and musical skills can be developed step by step, on the basis of more than 300 exercises and part 3 contains the teaching material.
