Brazilian Encounters Floor Polder - Dwarsfluit Elizabeth Fadel - Piano
Floor Polder - Flutist
Her style of music is discovering and her interest in
Brazilian culture is surprising.
During her studies at the Codarts Conservatory she got very excited after getting in contact with Brazilian music.
This resulted in four trips to Brazil where she also studied.
She performed there with Flautists like Carlos Malta Antonio Rocha, João
do Pife and with her own band Trio Sodade.
Today, she is accompanied by pianist Elizabeth Fadel.
Elizabeth Fadel was born in the southern Brazilian city of Curitiba in
2010 studied harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Jacques Ogg, who discovered her in Brazil.
Elizabeth Floor and Elisabeth Fadel both work at the school for Brazilian music in the Netherlands bringing new life to the instrumental Brazilian
music of Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti and Sivuca but also own compositions.
It is music that can be used effortlessly despite the Brazilian roots in the genre jazz or chamber music.
