The Ludwig Albert International Marimba Academy

The fifth edition of the successful annual ‘Ludwig Albert’ International Marimba Academy- Belgium’ will be placed from 11 till 21 April 2011. This academy is highly praised by students worldwide for its unique location and atmosphere, its intense training and amount of lessons and the available practise facilities. It is open for intermediate, advanced & professional marimba-players solo, duo & ensemble. Marimba virtuoso Ludwig Albert welcomes as extra teaching staff the Croatian percussion pedagogue Igor Lesnik & the Taiwanese marimbist Lin Chin Cheng. Ten days of practising, individual lessons marimba solo,- duo and -ensemble, master classes, chamber music and concerts by students, lecturers & guests. A wonderful academy will be enjoyed by all participants sharing the passion for the marimba .The course offers to participate as an active performing participant or as a passive observer participant. Each active participant should prepare at least 3 works from different composers.
