Marimba Festival Bulgaria

The National School of Arts „Panaiot Pipkov” jointly started in cooperation with the Municipality Pleven the preparation for the first festival for Marimba in Bulgaria. On July 5th until July 12th 2009 the city of Pleven will be transformed in a center of music and percussion players. The festival will provide incredible opportunity for the young musicians to work with Bogdan Bacanu one of the leading Marimba players and Profesor at the „Anton Bruckner Private University“ in Linz, Austria, to meet together with the winner of the famous ARD Contest / Munich and 5th World Marimba Competition / Stuttgart, Vassilena Serafimova and with the winners from "Universal Marimba Competiton" in Belgium, Emiko Uchiyama and Vladimir Petrov.
