Adams Musical Instruments - Together in Music

Percussi Aeris

Chris Flynn - euphonium
Paula O’Malley - percussion and piano

‘Percussi Aeris’ was formed as a result of the decade long friendship between Chris Flynn (euphonium) and Paula O’Malley (percussion).

Formed in 2024, they innovate and captivate audiences with a diverse repertoire that includes anything from classical transcriptions, jazz and funk-inspired music to contemporary music.  The duo have commissioned and performed works by composers such as Simon Archer, Matthew Eden and Stuart Rynn, as well as their own arrangements: their mission being to expand the repertoire of their unique ensemble.

An absolutely delightful afternoon of music from two extremely talented musicians.

— Lockerbie Music Society

Recent performances have included appearances at the Scottish International Tuba Festival, Lockerbie Music Society, Glasgow South Concert Series, Dundee University Chaplaincy and recitals at St Mirin’s Cathedral.

As individuals, both are Adams Musical Instruments Artists and freelance musicians, between them performing with orchestras such as the Hallé, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra Ireland. Chris is principal euphonium and Paula principal percussion of the cooperation band, an award-winning Scottish brass band, based in Glasgow.

Both Paula and Chris are extremely proud to perform exclusively on Dutch-made Adams instruments. Chris performs on his custom-made Adams euphonium and Paula on her Adams Alpha Series marimba and Adams Alpha Series vibraphone.
