The build quality is exceptional. Every detail has been considered. The projection, depth of tone, and stability of intonation is unlike anything I’ve experienced before.
Alongside his orchestral and band work, Chris has staged a number of solo recitals to critical acclaim, and is a founding member of Percussi Aeris — a percussion and euphonium duo that explores the expressive and timbral possibilities of this distinctive instrumental pairing.
A passionate advocate for education, Chris is the euphonium teacher at St Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh — Scotland’s national school for young musical talent — and offers private tuition to students at all levels across the globe. He remains committed to elevating the profile of an instrument he believes is too often overlooked.
Chris performs exclusively on the Adams E1 euphonium, an instrument he regards as transformative. As an Adams Artist, Chris was involved in the specification of a custom instrument built to his personal requirements.
