The Tom Freer BD5 has a large 80mm diameter head and a German felt cover. The mallet has a large, thick, warm and boomy sound. Ideal for playing single notes in Opera pieces such as Puccini and great for Prokofiev and Verdi Requiem bass drum pieces.
