Trio Manestri

Boldness, personality, elegance. This is the trio Manestri. These three musicians want to encourage their listeners to wander into new and explosive works. Because of their very different origins these old friends enrich each other to give this trio a unique uniqueness, not only in their musical proposals, but also in their desire to provoke high and intense feelings. The trio Manestri takes you to where the time does not exist. It allows you to simply surrender yourself to the music.

The trio is formed by the following musicians:

Astrid Gallez studied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel where she obtained a master degree in flute with a specialization in contemporary music.In her perspective, chamber music is the best way to have an authentic relationship with the other. The human dimension and the common connection to music may make a wonderful journey between the heart and the mind, the body and the soul.
She is also involved in composition projects such as "Kâlî, la noire" for flute solo (Ed.Bayard-Nizet), "Aesop and Jean" for recitative and flute, "Plumes et Couronne", a story by H.Ch. Andersen that she has incorporated into children's spectacle and musical book.

Marie Carmen Suarez, daughter of the composer and saxophonist José Suarez, was born in Brussels in a family with a long artistic tradition. She began to learn violin at a young age and at her 14th she integrated the Royal Conservatory of Mons to realize her dream: becoming a professional violinist.
She studied with Veronique Bogaerts and further trained at Carlo van Neste.She shares her career between her two favorite domains: the chamber orchestra and chamber music. She currently teaches violin and chamber music at the music academy "Yolande Uyttenhove" and is a member of the famous ensemble "Brussels Virtuosi".

Nezrin Efendiyeva was born in Baku in Azerbaijan. Her grandfather, Fikret Amirov, was an important Azerbaijani symphonic composer in the former USSR.She obtained her higher diploma in piano in the famous class of Eugene Moguilevsky at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (FR). In 2003 she became laureate of the international piano competition of the city of Huesca in Spain.
She regularly plays the piano concertos of her grandfather as a soloist with the Azerbaijani symphony orchestra.She also holds master's degree in film music composition at the Royal Conservatory of Mons and composes for documentaries and publicity, some of which have been broadcast by BBC, Euronews and CNN.
