The Istanbul Flute Ensemble

The Istanbul Flute Ensemble (IFE) was established in 2015 by Ece Karsal, Ayla Uludere and Sebnem Usen. The ensemble is comprised of these three professors and their students from Mimar Sinan University, Marmara University and Yildiz University. The IFE repertoire covers a wide period of music ranging from Baroque to Modern compositions, including contemporary works from modern Turkish composers. The ensemble has so far performed world premiers of three contemporary Turkish pieces written for the flute chorus at The International Woodwind Festival held in Istanbul in 2016. The Istanbul Flute Ensemble will be performing  Turkish compositions at the Afternoon concert on Friday.
