Korinne Marie Smith

In 2015, Korinne Marie Smith devoted a study to common psychological problems among older amateur flutists that resulted in a lecture entitled: The Senior Adult Amateur Flutist: Common Physical Problems and Proposed Pedagogical Solutions. We are very happy that Korinne will present this lecture during our 15th Flute Festival!

Dr. Korinne Smith is a flutist, teacher, and an upcoming female leader in the music industry.

As a flutist, she has performed throughout the United States and Europe. She has been a finalist in several Young Artist and Collegiate competitions across the United States. As an educator, she has held teaching positions at various institutions specializing in flute pedagogy of all levels.

Dr. Smith currently serves on the National Flute Association’s Pedagogy Committee and will be presenting at the National Flute Association Convention this summer in Dallas, TX. Her current and full-time commitment is serving as the Northeast Regional Sales Manager and Flute Product Specialist for Eastman Music Company, the parent company of the William S. Haynes Flute Company.
She currently resides in Rochester, NY with her opera-singing husband, Eric Kesler, her two playful sons, Samson (6) and Sawyer (2), three crazy cats, and one goofy dog. BM, Nazareth College of Rochester; MM and DMA, University of South Carolina.
