Adams Musical Instruments - Together in Music

James Williams

James Williams was born in the state of Mississippi (USA) in 1987. He began his musical studies at the age of 10, studying tuba, trombone, and euphonium.  In 2005, he joined the Marine Corps fleet band program as a euphonium instrumentalist. During his band career with fleet Marine bands across the USA, he served as a featured soloist, conductor, and personnel manager.

He finished his career serving as Euphonium Instructor, Head of Entry Level Academics, Field Conductor, and Ensemble Coach for the Naval School of Music. After retiring from active Naval service, he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music Education and is currently working as a brass coach and band clinician at the middle school and high school levels. He has studied with some of the finest euphonium players in the world over the years traveling the world making music.  His first Adams euphonium was an E1 in yellow brass, but searching for a darker, smokier sound he has moved on to a beautiful E3 in red brass. He says “I can’t thank the entire Adams team enough for their work building this E3. This is pure metal artistry. What a horn! Thank you!”
