Antonio Senatore

Antonio Senatore graduated young,with honors, at the Academy of Music “S. Pietro a Majella” in Naples under the influence of two master Jures Lello Balboni and Francesco Battimelli. Afterwards he improved thanks to the teaching of the master Angelo Persichilli, Conrad Klemm, Peter Lukas Graf, Roberto Fabbriciani and Emanuel Morris, first flute of the London Symphony Orchestra.

In 1977 he won the event "GIOVANI INTERPRETI" organized by RAI and in 1979 he won the National Competition for 2nd flute at the Band of the State Police. In duo won the International Competition of Chamber Music in Imperia and Capri.

Plays an intense activity as a soloist and in chamber music groups performing in Italy and abroad (Geneve, Stuttgart, Lisbon, Luxembourg, Liège,Den Haag, London, Brussels, Hamburg, Miami, Nassau, New Delhi, Bombay, Funchal, Paris, Munchen, Gelsenkirken, Murcia, La Coruna,Las Palmas de Gran Canaria). From 1991 till today is first flute in the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale "Giuseppe Verdi" of Salerno under the direction of Maestro Daniel Oren, from 1994 to 1999 he held the same role with the Orchestra Sinfonica "A.Scarlatti "in Naples collaborating with many reknowned conductors.

In 1997 he took part as 1st flute in the Spanish tour of the Chamber Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He has made numerous recordings with the video-Rai and recordings with Edipam and in December 2011 he took part, with the orchestra of the Teatro Verdi in Salerno, to the Christmas Concert held at the Senate chamber directed from Rai in Eurovision. In 1998 he collaborated, as 2nd flute, to create a CD of famous arias of Rossini arranged by flautist and guitarist JLToulou F.Carulli and recently recorded the 2 suites for flute and jazz piano trio by Claude Bolling .

In 2012, with the Orchestra of the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi attended the live recordings of the works "Pearl Fishers" by G.Bizet, "Robert le Diable" of G.Meyerbeer and "Gioconda" by Amilcare Ponchielli, under the direction the maestro Daniel Oren and produced by the label Brilliant.  

He has performed in prestigious festivals throughout the world including Rome and Perugia playing music premiered by composers such as Morricone, Berio, Vandor, Frisina, Sciarrino and Donatoni under the direction of the same. It 'professor of flute at the Conservatory "Giuseppe Martucci" of Salerno.
