Amik Guerra has lived in different countries, traveled to various cities and met many people and their cultures. The music was his most faithful companion - for him personally, as a bridge between cultures, as a communication tool, as a discovery channel, as a playground for creativity, as a way to discover limits and beyond, as a door opener for a new universe. Music can do so much, knows Amik. That is precisely why he meets her with the utmost respect, esteem, sensitivity and thereby achieves incredible results. His musical performance shows the highest quality down to the last detail, a tangible passion and warmth. An artist with a big heart and a lot of humor on and off the stage.

"Most of the time the secret in making great instruments is the passion that some people put on them. During my visit to the Adams factory  I've been really surprised about how many persons take care of the new born “child” - lets call it a new instrument that way - which will enjoy the big family of people that will listen to the music. I’m very proud and satisfied of playing these marvellous instruments.

Thank you Miel Adams and all the Adams family!"

Amik

Born in Havana, Cuba, on 11th May 1973. He made the first steps in music at the age of 7 when his father, a talented amateur musician, introduced him to the classical guitar. At the age of 8, Amik entered the conservatory to take guitar lessons. After 3 years a bike accident put an end to his career as a guitar player but it could not hinder his passion for music. Amik decided to continue his musical journey under the guidance of Maestro Ernesto Luaces, who introduced him to the trumpet. In 1992, Amik Guerra graduated in trumpet, percussion and arrangement from the ‘Escuela Nacional de Instructores de Arte’ in Havana.

At the age of 19 Amik started a professional career at the Septeto Nacional Ignacio Piñeiro, Cuban Heritage of Culture. Just 2 years later (1994) he arrived in Torino, Italy to start what has evolved into a successful path as a trumpeter and arranger for several international artists. In 2004 his way brought him to Switzerland and 2 years later to the Principality of Liechtenstein. Where he is actually living, combined with international traveling as a musician and teaching work. Over the years he has gained a lot of experience in various facets of music - such as Pop, Jazz, Latin Jazz, Salsa, Reggae and Indie.
