Saxophone Ligatures

A ligature, or ligature, is used to secure the reed to the mouthpiece of a saxophone. Adams has a wide range of ligatures.

A ligature is used to secure the reed to the mouthpiece of a saxophone. A reed must be properly attached. The reed must be able to vibrate, but not vibrate loose. This is how the sound of a saxophone starts. The way a reed is attached makes a difference to the sound of your saxophone. For saxophones there are generally 2 types of ligatures; ones made out of fabric or ones made of metal. At Adams we have a wide collection of ligatures.
