Beatrix' European Tour 2012
09 February 2012
After the success of earlier tours and with experience from the USA, Beatrix’ Drum & Bugle Corps is currently working hard on the organization if the association’s first official European Tour.
Very soon after the unfortunate news on September 30th 2011, when it was announced that the corps’ planned USA Tour in 2012 would not take place, the members were informed about the intention to make a tour through Europe that same season. A committee was installed and the first correspondence with potential partners started. Meanwhile, the tour program is starting to take shape.
The European Tour 2012 will commence on Friday, August 17th 2012 and will last until Sunday, August 26th 2012. The conceptual tour schedule has room for a DCE certified contest, commercial performances, clinics, rehearsals and free time for sightseeing in beautiful cities.
“It is wonderful to see that a corps like Beatrix’ has the intention to make a European Tour and cooperate with DCE certified organizations. We hope that what Beatrix’ is doing will encourage other corps to take part in contests outside their national borders”, says Rob Beeren from Drum Corps Europe.
“We'll be really glad to welcome Beatrix to the MMF competition. We want to thank the Beatrix’ Board of Directors for their proposal and DCE for the support. This means a lot to us!” Informs the French drumcorps organization MMF - Marching Music France.
At this time the tour committee is busily negotiating all that will take place during the tour. There are still some free days to be filled in and the organization is working hard to complete the tour schedule.

“Under Construction” promises to become a true spectacle, that much of Europe will be able to witness this summer.
