Victor Kruis

He started his professional studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Maarten Karres. After completing his Teaching Musician degree, he continued his studies at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where Han de Vries was his teacher. There, he obtained his Performing Musician diploma in 1995.

Currently, he is active as a freelance oboist in various ensembles, ranging from the Continuo Chamber Orchestra to the Dutch Theatre Orchestra and the Randstedelijk Accompaniment Orchestra. Additionally, he forms a duo with pianist Rien Balkenende. He is also frequently heard in school concerts where, together with colleagues, he promotes making music themselves.

Teaching has always been his great passion. Developing his own teaching materials plays a major role in this.

He teaches at the music schools in Bergen op Zoom, Roosendaal, Etten Leur, and Breda.
