Avner Geiger
The Israeli flutist Avner Geiger is an internationally acclaimed flutist living in Berlin.
Avner leads a creative career with original music, chamber music activity, original projects, teaching and regularly playing with renowned orchestras such as: Munich Chamber Orchestra (MKO), Kammerakademie Potsdam (KAP), Deutsche Oper, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and more.
He has been the first and second flutist at the Israeli Camerata Jerusalem and has performed as soloist with the Czech Philharmonic, Tel-Aviv Soloists Ensemble, Israel Camerata and others. His performances and recordings have been broadcasted in the Israeli, Dutch and German radio.
Avner has studied with renowned flutists such as Patrick Gallois and Andrea Lieberknecht. He started his flute studies at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and after his successful Bachelor of music degree, continued to the HMT Hannover (Diplom) and CASB Paris, where he graduated with the Premier-Prix (first prize).
He has received scholarships from the America- Israel cultural foundation, LMN- Yehudi Menuhin foundation, Edelhoff- Ricklingen foundation and Musik braucht Freunde foundation.
