Porter Percussion Duo
Since 2009 the Porter Percussion Duo have been on stage together and fascinate their audience with their variety of styles, virtuosity and musical expression. With their very own style, the two sisters juggle between Baroque, Romanticism and Impressionism and give the epochs foreign to their instruments a completely new and yet familiar sound.
In contrast to these arrangements are original compositions of the present time, such as those by Aperghis, Dorman or Reich. Thus they offer their audiences an exciting programme between past epochs and the present. The duo tours throughout Europe, America and Asia, as well as at festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Young Euro Classics and international percussion and music festivals. After studying abroad at the Royal College of Music in London, the two sisters graduated with top marks from the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. Her first album “Dancefloor” was released in July. Both live and work in the Stuttgart area.
