Juan Quinones

Juan Quinones born in San Juan Puerto Rico on September 9 1978, began to play the trumpet at 5 years old. He comes from a family with an old tradition in music. By age 13 started to work as a professional musician in the Latin music industry. His music background comes from classical trumpet in brass quintets, to commercial Latin pop to jazz music. Very accomplished studio trumpet player and lead singer in the Latin music scene in Puerto Rico and the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area.

Began studying the trumpet in Libre De Musica school Hato Rey, Puerto RIco with Professor Victor Vasquez then continued his studies with Professor Miguel Pena who was the teacher who would polish it to a professional level since childhood and who later on would recommend Juan for various gigs.
At 13 years old Juan was part of the Latina Revolucion group with whom he had the opportunity to make his first recording in recording studios Tele Sound with sound engineer Papo Sanchez, Juan met in that recording two of this favorite  trumpet players, Luis Aquino and Jan Duclerk,got to hang out with them and see how's the real world of trumpet playing was, he loved it and got inspired since that day, a year later Juan would form part of Victor Manuelle salsa band, thanks to one of his professors of music Shago Martinez, where it began its first tour through Latin America, Europe and the United States.

At 17 years old Juan began his studies at the Concervatorio Music of Puerto Rico with Professor Roberto Ramirez, who would polish Juan's classical trumpet technique. At 19 years old Juan moved to Miami where he went to study at university of Miami Coral Gables with Professor Al Hood who would polish Juan's Jazz and Lead trumpet technique.
In Miami had the opportunity to work with great trumpet players as Jose Sibaja, Teddy Mulet and the opportunity to go on tour  with artists such as KC and the Sunshine Band, Ricardo Arjona, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Celia Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, David Bisbal, Ricardo Montaner, D.L.G., Robi Drako Rosa, Cristian Castro, Francisco Cespedes, David Torrens, Gema y Pavel, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Luis Enrique, Audio Network, many others.

Juan has had the blessing of working with great producers such as Emilio Estefan, Cucco Pena, Antonio Zalcedo, Quique Talavera, Ramon Zanchez, Cuto Soto, Aneiro Tanos, Pavel Hurtiza, Tim Devine.

At the present Juan is proud to be part of the Army Ground Forces Band, where he has had the privilege of accompany virtuoso trumpet player Allen Vizzutti with the Jazz Guardians big band and got to play a solo duet with him called Viz Biz and keep his part time job as a producer for Audio Network.
