Adams Philharmonic Classic Timpani
The Philharmonic Classic is an all-round timpani that combines openness and focus very effectively. While it retains some of the roundness and warmth of our Philharmonic Light, it offers a noticeably greater focus in its tone. Positioned perfectly in the middle of our range designed for the professional scene, this timpani strikes an ideal balance.
The timpani offer quick response and tone projection, along with a strong fundamental presence and fullness in their sound. Hammered copper bowls are supported by a specially designed high-strength suspension ring and cast steel struts that reduce pressure on the frame and help prevent any flex or changes in the shape of the frame or bowl.
An updated 'ratchet and pawl mechanism' with 25% more adjustment points than previously available offers extremely easy pedaling, comparable to a ratchet-free clutch pedal mechanism. The traditional, simple, and sturdy frame design reduces the strain of transport without sacrificing tone or stability. In conclusion, the allround sound-character, easy operation, and trouble-free maintenance make this timpani a first choice of professionals worldwide.
