Universal Timpani

Adams Universal Timpani are designed for use in all variations of concert and education. A ver y light and easy to operate instrument with a perfect sound and pitch quality. Available with 3 models parabolic bowls, copper, copper hammered and fibre. The pedal can be retained in any desired position. Slight pressure applied to the tip of the pedal sole suffices to disengage the pedal for fixing in another position. Universal Timpani feature multi-adjustable supporting legs that retract completely into the bowl, allowing a set of timpani to comfortably fit in an average car for transport.

These two series (Universal and Maschine) introduced by Adams are the outcome the company’s Research & Development activities focused on the design of handy yet quality concert timpani. One of the major objectives was to come up with a range of universal and pedal timpani that would also make due allowance for the pricing aspect. What has emerged is a low-cost line embodying highgrade features.

The basic concept applied to both models has been that of downing production costs while maintaining consistent standards of tonal excellence. Thus buyers reap the double benefit, from the financial and musical angle. Adams Universal Timpani are available with fiberglass kettles, copper kettles or hammered copper kettles and come in 20”-23”-26”-29” and 32” diameters. A protective cover is available to fit each of the timpani.

This model is based on larger instruments making up the Adams range of Pedal Timpani noted for their pedal design. Silent and easy to operate, the pedal can be retained in any desired position. Slight pressure applied to the tip of the pedal sole suffices to disengage the pedal for fixing in another position. A specially designed fine tuner caters for precise setting of pitch, carried out manually. The finetuner can also be used for increasing tonal compass.
