Symphonic Timpani
Adams Symphonic Timpani has proved its merits in the world of orchestras,
conservatorium, bands and schools. The solid construction prevents any
problems during transport. The kettle is made from a single sheet of red
copper pressed by deep drawn methods. This has the great advantage of
maintaining the same thickness throughout the kettle which is extremely
important for a good sound. Symphonic Timpani are offered in five bowl
diameters, 20-23-26-29-32.
The impressive sound and quality of our Symphonic Series allow them to
excel in a multitude of different playing situations. Whether you're performing
in a symphony hall or a high school auditorium, the outstanding sound
and unmatched precision of the Symphonic Series will meet and exceed any
of your performance demands. Unlike other common molding methods used
to create Timpani bowls today, all Adams Symphonic Series Tympani bowls
are press formed from a single sheet of supreme quality copper. Seamless
and free of any welds or soldering, the bowl is allowed to resonant freely
and evenly. This forming method also ensures an even thickness throughout
the entire kettle, resulting in the ultimate in both tonal quality and
projection. The bowls are suspended by a strong, firm, contoured steel
ring to maintain bowl roundness and offer the best protection during transport.
Three wheels, two at the rear and one under the pedal mechanism, have
been custom designed with a braking mechanism that prevents them from
both turning and from rotating. The Adams Symphonic Series Timpani are
offered in five bowl diameters, 20-23-26-29 and 32.
Pedal System
The Symphonic Series pedal mechanism is based upon the European style
block system, also known as a clutch and post system. Unlike the Professional
series balanced action system, this type of block pedal system allows
the fundamental pitch of the timpani to be easily altered without effecting
pedal performance. The Symphonic Series Timpani also offers an easy to
operate fine tuner, located on the players side. Three wheels, two at
the rear and one under the pedal mechanism, have been custom designed
with a braking mechanism that prevents them from both turning and from
rotating. The Adams Symphonic Series Timpani are offered in five bowl
diameters, 20-23-26-29 and 32.
Fine Tuner
The Fine Tuner mechanism on all Symphonic Series Timpani is con-veniently
located to the players side and offers an extremely fluid.
