Concert Marimbas
The Adams Concert Marimbas is often selected for general use by professionals,
schools and solists. This marimba is Adams overall best seller. Whether
you choose Rosewood, padouk or zelon bars, each fully bar is painstakingly
tuned using our specially developed computer system , assisted method
by the hands of the highly skilled Adams craftsman. This precise tuning
and voicing process ensures the instrument’s sound is balanced perfectly
throughout the entire range and provides Adams complete control over all
aspects of the marimba sound. As with all Adams marimbas the resonators
are welded to eliminate the possibility of mechanical noise or vibration,
and are finished with a durable powder-coated finish. Each tube is carefully
designed to amplify the fundamental note while providing maximum volume,
sustain and clarity. In order to play under all temperature and moisture
conditions, the resonators can be set in two positions due to the rubber
mounting blocks mounted on the side panel.
The Adams patented voyager system offers great durability to a wide range
of playing heights. This feature is perfect for educational situations
requiring use by many different size players. This same ultra smooth height
adjustment system can be found on our endurance field frame. This frame
was designed for maximum strength and durability, allowing you to transport
over grass, parking lots and in schools from room to room or anywhere
you might venture to take it. Its extremely large, easy rolling wheels
make it the best designed frame system on the market today. A full length
accessory rail on the frame provides you a great place to clamp cymbals,
tom toms, bells and all kind of small percussion instruments on your instrument
for optimum performance. Concert Marimbas have graduated bars from 67
mm to 40 mm.

Solist Marimbas
Adams Solist Series Marimbas offer the precision construction
methods and great features found on our Artist and Concert
series instruments, combined with a number of keyboards and
size options ideal for beginners and schools looking for a high
quality, wood bar instrument, at an extremely affordable price.
When purchasing a Solist Series instrument, you have a choice
between prime Honduras Rosewood bars or our extremely
economical African Padouk wood bars. Padouk wood bars offer
an excellent alternative to Rosewood, by producing a beautifully
warm, woody sound, at a fraction of the Rosewood's cost. Adams
was the first manufacturer to offer a truly high quality, wood bar
student instrument, and Padouk wood bars are available on both
our 41/3 octave Solist Series marimba, and our 4 and 3 octave
Solist Series Marimba. Unlike other student model marimbas,
all of the bars within our Solist Series are graduated in width.
They’re slightly narrower than our Concert Series bars,
specifically designed to allow easier mallet spreads for beginning
players.
