Amadinda Percussion Group has been formed in 1984 in Budapest by four musicians, just after having graduated from the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music. When founding the ensemble central point of their activity has been double. On one hand to present masterpieces of percussion music, unknown to the Hungarian audience so far, on the other hand to perform the music of Hungarian contemporary composers in their country and abroad.

KUNIKO KATO is the one of the most promising young percussionist in the world today. Specializing herself both in marimba and percussions, she studied under Keiko Abe for marimba, Yoshitaka Kobayashi and Kyoichi Sano for percussions at Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, Japan.

Martin gave his first, very successful concerts at the age of five. When he just turned eight Martin played in the Austrian philharmonic youth orchestra conducted by Manfred Honeck. At the age of ten Martin Grubinger celebrated his first solo performance on stage, accompanied by a big orchestra.

The first, entirely improvised NEXUS concert in 1971 marked the formation of a group that would touch and entertain people of all levels of musical learning, in all genres of percussion music. Bob Becker, Bill Cahn, Robin Engelman, Russell Hartenberger and Garry Kvistad are virtuosos alone, and bring elements of their knowledge and character to a distinct and powerful whole.

Nick Woud was born 9th of April 1955. After the Gymnasium he studied Percussion and Timpani at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music with Jan Labordus and Jan Pustjens, both of the Royal Concertgebouw. From the age of 18 he performed in the Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and all major Dutch orchestras.

Und hier begegnet Peter Sadlo zum zweitenmal einem Meister, der seinen weiteren Weg mitbestimmen wird: Sergiu Celibidache, der charismatische Chefdirigent der Münchner Philharmoniker. Nach anfangs vorsichtigem gegenseitigen Abtasten entsteht ein großes gemeinsames Musikverständnis.

The World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) is the only international organization of wind band conductors, composers, performers, publishers, teachers, instrument makers and friends of wind music. It is the only organization completely dedicated to enhancing the quality of the wind band throughout the world and exposing its members to new worlds of repertoire, musical culture, people and places.

The Percussion Department of The Yale School of Music is a diverse collective of musicians furthering their art form at Yale University. Under the direction of Professor Robert van Sice, students pursue Master of Music Degrees, Master of Musical Art Degrees, and Artist Diplomas. Students have the opportunity to perform in ensembles including the Philharmonia Orchestra, New Music New Haven, the Yale Percussion Group, and mixed chamber ensembles.
