5 på Tvers (5 Across)
The professional flute quintet was established in autumn 2011 and today consists of Ragnhild Døsen, Henriette Wie Flaig, Carina Yvonne Larsen Amundsen, Mari Sundsaasen Innervik and Christine Møklegaard.
Since its inception, 5 at Tvers has played regular concerts and participated in festivals at home and abroad.
5 at Tvers plays music that is both originally written and transcribed for the ensemble, which primarily consists of piccolo flute, two C flutes, alto and bass flute.
The quintet aims to develop and promote new repertoire, and for several years has collaborated with mostly Norwegian composers. Among other things, this has resulted in several new works for flute quintet and directed a further focus towards Norwegian contemporary music for flute ensemble.
